my weekly to-dos...

Well, this past week I was a busy, emotional mess—thus having (or making) no time to post anything at all since my last weekly to-dos. Alas! Such is life. I have a feeling this week will be a bit more productive (but no promises from this crazy pregnant lady). At least I managed to cross off almost all my goals from last week, right? Right.

Here's a look at last week's goals, as well as a peek into my world for the past seven days:
Last week's goals:

Marriage, Motherhood & Home Life
 — Organize/declutter Eisley's books and toys; donate what we no longer need
 — Work on positive attitude (clearly, I'm way too hormonal for this)
 — Plan date night this month (I keep thinking this will happen if I put it on the list but NO DICE)

Self
 — Daily bible reading (my goal has been to read one chapter of Proverbs and one chapter of the New Testament every day)
 — Organize clothes; toss or donate what I no longer wear
 — Make the effort to wake up before Eisley every morning

Creativity & Blogging
 — Set up monthly giveaway (all set for this Friday!)
 — Edit photos I've recently taken

Miscellany
 — Boring car stuff (I even vacuumed the entire inside by myself while 6 months pregnant, so, more ice cream for me!)
 — Send one piece of snail mail

There have never been truer words printed on a mug. (This one is by WeeStructed and was a gift from my older sister! Perfect timing, I tell you this.) I don't know what it is, but Eisley has been extra challenging for the past few weeks. I'm not sure where it's coming from and I definitely need to find better ways to cope with it because I'm tired of being an angry mom.

At least she is a cute little monkey, right? (Did I mention that she gave herself her first haircut under the kitchen table with toddler scissors this past week? I mean, honestly.)

I've been a member of Influenster for ages now and finally received my first VoxBox. I'm not sure why it took me so long to qualify for something, but if you are also having trouble, my recommendation is to start leaving product reviews on the site (just a few a week should suffice). I saw someone else mention this tip somewhere and—no joke—just days after leaving my first reviews I was offered this VoxBox. I've been a member of this site for over two years and this is the first time I've qualified for anything, so it's worth a try, I say! (I'll be reviewing this product later on this week.)

I'm the weirdo who just now bought a mousepad for the first time in a decade. I fell in love with the adorable ones from Field Trip and thanks to a sweet friend who gave me an Etsy gift card recently, I was able to buy one! Isn't it perfect?

My mom and older sister brought me a bunch of adorable maternity clothes to give me while they were in town, and I was so excited to wear this dress (which my sister wore while pregnant with her son!) to church on Sunday. Hurrah for beautiful hand-me-downs! I seriously can't believe I'm already 26 weeks pregnant.

And here is my list for the week ahead:
This week's goals:

Marriage, Motherhood & Home Life
 — Work on patience with Eisley
 — Create loose meal plan for the rest of April
 — Complete "school" worksheets with Eisley daily
 — Finish Eisley's baby book (don't judge me!)

Self
 — Daily bible reading
 — Finish reading one book
 — Wake up before Eisley every day

Creativity & Blogging
 — Try to create an almost-daily blogging schedule

Miscellany
 — Send one piece of snail mail
 — Earn one gift card from Swagbucks (I'm so close to reaching $25!)

Happy Monday, folks!

  2. I got a VoxBox pretty soon after I signed up for Influester, but I didn't really like anything in it, sadly, so I don't think I'm going to try for any more boxes.

Three years old is soooooooo hard. I can't even stress enough how hard it has been for me. Sheesh. I don't even recognize myself sometimes.

    1. It's a bummer you didn't like your first VoxBox! I've seen people receive awesome ones and I've always been a tad jealous. ;) I think my only annoyance with their system (at least with this specific box) was that they really want you to flood your social media outlets with shoutouts for this product. I did the bare minimum (IG, Twitter and a blog post) because I feel like if I did it all people would have gotten totally annoyed. It would be one thing if they were a paid campaign, but when you're receiving just a product to review, then it seems a little excessive. Since I didn't complete all the "badge" activities, we'll see if I qualify for anything in the future!

And I think we need to create a support group for mamas of 3.5 year olds. :) I'm slowly learning that routine is the best solution for us, and whenever we have a week that is all over the place, that's when we encounter the worst meltdowns. This current week has been much, much different than the last, so it's a good reminder to keep things familiar and easy with kids this age! Hope you and your family are having a good one, as well. Hugs!

  3. I haven't qualified for anything from Influenster in about a year & a half. After reading this post, I went over to the site & wrote a dozen reviews. Fingers crossed!

    1. I hope you have the same luck I did! I was seriously so confused as to why I never qualified for anything, because my influence score is fairly decent (and I'm sure yours is, too!). Hopefully you'll get a hit now that you're leaving reviews. I've been trying to leave at least one a week so they can see I'm an active user. Fingers crossed for ya, Kate! :)
