Keeping with the theme of posts this week (clearly, it's all-Eisley, all-the-time), I wanted to share some photos I took the evening of her birthday. I wasn't going to bust out my fancy camera at all, but I'm glad I made the effort—even just for a little sidewalk photoshoot.
One of my goals this year is to make a little birthday book for every birthday Eisley has had—and continue to make one every year. I'm terrible at printing photos or making any sort of scrapbooks/memory books (the very idea of Project Life overwhelms my soul), but hopefully I can at least manage to put together one simple album a year! I think it would be fun to pull them out every year on her birthday, and she will get to see how she celebrated each time, and read a few little tidbits about her life at every stage. I still need to find out a birthday survey for her to take, since she's old enough to participate in something like that! (It still counts if I have her answer the week after her birthday, right?)
I call this one: Pensive Teenager.
Pretty sure I told some sort of poo joke to get her to smile in this one.
"Look, mom! I can do a handstand!"
God bless people who photograph children for a living, because in order to get this genuine grin from Eisley, I had to let her tug on the end of my maxi skirt and whip it around so forcefully in-between shots that I borderline showed the neighbors my unmentionables. Ah, well…sometimes it is worth it, when you're able to get a framer.
Okay, photo overload complete. (I think.)
