RunKeeper app — I know I mentioned this in other posts this month, but I can't get over how much I love this app, and how thrilled I am that something so fantastic is absolutely free. It tracks everything: weekly mileage/calories/distance/etc., maps of previous runs, progress on your goals, and more. You can also track walking, bike rides, and other activities aside from just running. I love that there are free programs you can do, too (I mentioned before that I'm doing their version of a couch-to-5k). After I complete this program next month, I'm hoping to train for a 10k. Who knows if I'll ever be able to run more than a few miles, but still…shooting for the stars and all of that.
2. Revlon Nearly Naked Pressured Powder — I'm someone who is constantly switching brands when it comes to most makeup items, because what I buy is almost always from the drugstore and varies based on what is on sale (combined with coupons, of course). This is the best pressed powder I've tried in the past year, hands down! Makeup-wise, I use BB Cream daily, and use a brush to apply whatever powder I'm using on top of that. I definitely need a pressed powder that will be light, non-greasy and long-lasting. A couple brands of powder I've used in the past have had a slight shimmer to them, which means reapplying it a few times during the day to avoid looking like a grease ball. (Not my favorite thing.) But this powder is awesome, and something I will definitely buy again.
3. Not Your Mother's Clean Freak Dry Shampoo — I haven't been able to find my favorite dry shampoo (Suave Professionals dry shampoo) at the stores I frequent as of late, so I recently picked up this brand and have loved it. I've also used the Tresemme dry shampoo and find that it doesn't work as well as good ol' Suave, and the scent kind of bugs me, too. But the Not Your Mother's brand is great, and I'm definitely doing to be keep an eye out for deals on this in the future.
4. Say Goodbye to Survival Mode by Crystal Paine — I was able to snag the Kindle version of this book for less than $3 when they were offering a special promotion a while ago. I've been reading it through the Kindle app on my iPhone. (That app was the greatest thing when I discovered it, because as much as I'd love an e-reader, splurging on another device is not in the cards right now!) I'm making my way through it rather slowly, but every bit I've read so far has been so encouraging. Crystal has definitely been someone who has inspired me in my goals to embrace early mornings and weekly routines!
5. How They Blog podcast — I love Kat Lee's other podcast, Inspired to Action, and was rather happy to discover her other one is just as wonderful. It is filled with a ton of information for bloggers big and small. I may or may not have listened to nearly every single episode last month…and loved them all.
