I recently had the opportunity to fall head over heels for a sweet little nugget named Matthew. (Fair warning: These photos may induce baby fever.) My friend Kate was in town for a while, and earlier this week we met up for a little photoshoot with her son, who turns one in August. This kid is the absolute sweetest little guy…Eisley loved playing with him, and I was highly entertained by his wide range of facial expressions. He is so cute, I almost can't handle it. In the words of Monica Geller: "I could take one of those little feet and put it in a pita pocket!"
But, really. I could. Watch out, Matthew.
Anyway, I keep looking for opportunities to do a bit more photography here and there, and this was a nice, unexpected moment to snap a few photos and work more with my camera. I have a feeling that my camera needs some sort of fixing (it doesn't focus as well as it used to, and the settings are getting harder to get just right), and this wasn't the perfect time of day to get photos (the lighting was tricky, so they required a bit more post-processing than normal), but I'm happy with how they came out.
Here is a little sneak peek!
I think Eisley is used to being the subject of my photography, because she kept trying to sneak into the shot. She ended up being quite the helper, trying to get Matthew and chasing squirrels in the background like it was her job. Meltdowns were avoided on all fronts, so I say it was a success!
