my weekly to-do list...

This week I began the third week of my new running schedule, and I must say it has done wonders for my sleep at night. (I have yet to experience a difference in my energy levels, unfortunately, but I'm hoping that will come later…) In any case, it feels good to see changes happen almost instantly. I fall asleep quicker, and am no longer waking up 2-3 times at night. Which means I'm much more rested and not a bitter betty about getting up (most days) around 6AM.

Progress? Yes, thank you.

I'm running every other day, and can already see a difference in my strength and stamina, too. I really want this to become a habit, so I'm trying oh-so-hard to not even miss one of my scheduled runs.

In other news, we had a lovely Father's Day weekend. My dad was in town to visit my grandpa, so it was wonderful to actually get to give him a big ol' hug on this holiday! As for Jay, I headed to Pinterest and found some adorable printables to spruce up the few simple gifts I bought him (new sandals, a Starbucks gift card, a ginormous bin of Pub Mix from Costco, and a couple brews), and also printed out a customizable survey I had Eisley answer questions for, and hung a paper banner in our living room. We enjoyed a seafood buffet on Sunday evening, so I'd say it was a success!

Today, Eisley is refusing to take a nap, so I'll keep it short…plus, I have a hot date with the laundromat this afternoon, so it's time to bust a move on that. Glamour, I tell you! That is my life in a nutshell.

Last week's goals:

Marriage, Motherhood & Home Life
 — Buy (or make) Father's Day gift for Jay
 — Deep clean/organize something (rearranged the very top shelf in our kitchen, which is so hard to reach I typically ignore it)

 — Run three times
 — Work on my Sunday grumpiness (better, but not the best)
 — Learn something new (learned how to switch colors in order to work on this blanket)

 — Work on granny square blanket (ended up starting a new one instead of working on the one I wanted to finish…but, you know)
 — Organize items for destash sale
 — Clean off my sewing machine

 — Send a care package to someone
 — Drop off clothes/books at Goodwill

This week's goals:

Marriage, Motherhood & Home Life
 — Try one new recipe
 — Deep clean/organize something (hopefully our small half-closet/cabinet that holds all of Eisley's clothes and a majority of my stockpiled beauty products)
 — Go on a little family adventure

 — Run three times, and set some sort of personal record
 — Stick to 10PM bedtime all week (a necessity, as I try to embrace earlier mornings!)
 — Social-media-free Sunday (a new thing I want to try)

 — Finish granny square blanket
 — Organize items for destash sale
 — Clean my sewing machine

 — Drop off clothes/books at Goodwill
