my weekly to-do list...

Yes, I'm writing this post on a Tuesday evening at 9PM. Ah, well…a long weekend (with a sick toddler, nonetheless) will do that to you. I've been wanting to sit down and write something of substance for the past week, but it feels close to impossible these days. It's such a weird thing, considering I've spent the greater part of the past decade writing about nearly everything, sometimes almost every single day…and the words always came so easily.

Maybe any and all substantial thoughts will just have to stay put for a while. Seasons of life and all of that, right?

As far as my weekly to-dos, here is a peek at last week's list, as well as what I hope to accomplish next week:

Last week's goals:

Marriage, Motherhood & Home Life
 — Plan date night for this month (we did watch 3 movies at home together this month, so I decided to cross this out to make myself feel better)
 — Try one new recipe
 — Start compiling a shopping price list

 — Get up before Eisley at least two mornings
 — Finish reading one book (The Kind Diet—which I absolutely loved)
 — Talk about "faith stuff" with someone (vague, I know)

 — Make 5 embroidered felt pins
 — Host big ol' sale for the shop

 — Earn at least one $5 gift card from Swagbucks
 — Toss/donate 10 things we no longer use or need

This week's goals:

Marriage, Motherhood & Home Life
 — Wardrobe purge (for clothing swap next week!)
 — Try one new recipe
 — Make at least one freezer meal (I'm venturing into new homemaking territory)

 — Order new glasses
 — Read every day (I'm reading Say Goodbye to Survival Mode via the Kindle app on my iPhone, and The Book of God, which I just started and am loving)
 — Learn something new
 — Attempt to embrace mornings

 — Finish up shop sale and make list of ideas/goals for rest of year

 — Write list of goals for this blog (still trying to find direction)
 — Earn at least one $5 gift card from Swagbucks

I love that the week ahead is rather short. And I also love that this past weekend wasn't nearly as busy as I thought it was going to be. (A homebody I shall always be. Forever and ever, amen.)
