my weekly to-do list...

One blog that I actually manage to keep up with here and there is Money Saving Mom. I love how each week she creates a list of goals and other things she hopes to accomplish—breaking them down into a few categories, but limiting herself to only ten things. (Ten things? That's doable. I like it.) Every Monday she gives a recap of how she did on last week's list, and then shares her list for the week ahead.
I'm sure this may not be a weekly occurrence for me, but the mood stuck to compile a list today, so here I am.
This weeks goals:
Marriage, Motherhood & Home Life
— Finish Eisley's creativity cart (a place to keep a variety of art supplies, toys and books)
— Plan a date night for this month
— Deep clean and/or organize something (anything!)
Self
— Start reading one of the many books I've been meaning to begin
— Earn at least one $5 gift card from Swagbucks
— Complete devotions/journal at least 5 days
Creativity
— Spray-paint something
— List new postcards in the shop
— Complete current lettering projects for book (more on this later!)
Miscellany
— Send one unexpected piece of snail mail
I'll be checking in next week to let you know what I managed to accomplish. (And, yes, I may or may not be slightly obsessed with list-making in general. Join me!)
This is a good list -- my to do list is much more...blah. Too many errands I'm behind on! (car maintenance, etc)
ReplyDeleteAlso just wanted to say I've been really enjoying your blog lately. I really love that hand lettering print you did, too!
Have a fab week, friend. :)
Your life is pretty. <3
ReplyDeleteUhm. I am just wondering if you accomplish all of your to-do lists? Because in my part , i didn't definitely done things i listed in my to do list, i am just asking. If yes, please tell me some tips.thanks.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment! I rarely (if ever) complete everything on my to-do lists, but I like having them written out anyway. I find it keeps me from adding too many things or feeling like I haven't done enough—which is what usually happens when I just leave my intentions floating around in my headspace. ;)
DeleteAs a general rule, I never expect to complete every single thing, and I keep the items on a sliding scale. I'll be sure to put things I know I'll do, things I'm pretty sure I can do, and things that would make me totally thrilled to accomplish. It keeps it interesting throughout the week! :)
