makeshift gift tags...
Considering it's been quite some time since I've been able to do much with my shop, my supply of business cards has dwindled. (To the point of not existing.) So! As I was wrapping up some orders this week, I had to come up with some sort of gift tag/business card that I could add to the packages. Sometimes tasks like these seem like they're going to be much more time consuming than they actually are, and I thought I'd share the ridiculously quick-and-easy tags I ended up creating.
Washi tape? Check. Twine in my absolute favorite shade of yellow? Check. Random card stock rectangles that were leftover packaging from something I recently bought? Check. Aside from those items, the only other things I needed were my teeny-tiny hole punch and my alphabet stamp set.
Ideally, I would have taken the time to add on my blog or shop address, but people-with-limited-time-and-napping-toddlers can't be choosers. Or something like that.
And there you go! Super quick and super simple. I always take time to jot down a quick thank-you to customers, and I love that there was room on the back of each tag to do just that. These ended up being the perfect makeshift tags. I love that they gave me a reason to reuse something that I would have otherwise thrown away, too. They'll work quite nicely until I sit down and design some new business cards (one of my goals for the new year!).
Super cute tags! I just bought some washi at Michaels and Target dollar bins. Thanks to you I have some ideas of what to use it for:)
ReplyDeleteJust got mine in the mail today! Your packaging is just my taste and made getting my order so much fun :)
ReplyDeleteAw cute tags! I had purchased an item from your shop years ago (years!) (...customised felt heart ornaments) and loved your little note. I discovered it again years later in my Christmas stash (not realising I saved it!) and it made me happy all over again :)
ReplyDeleteany suggestions for getting alphabet stamps to make clear lines with logical spacing? I've been working on tags for a new project and my stamping... has character.
