There's nothing quite like an envelope tucked into your mailbox that has the telltale lumps and bumps of a handmade card. I was lucky enough to receive a bit of mail from the oh-so-inspiring Amanda this week. (You'll want to take a peek at her adorable blog, oh my little dears! I want to crawl inside her photos and live there forever and ever. I don't even care if that sounds mildly creepy.)
In any case, this unexpected gift really bought a smile to my face, and reminded me how important it is to surprise people with random acts of kindness. I have a new goal of sending a handful of mini care packages by the end of the year! I feel like I used to do things like this more often, but lately I've just been swept up in all the busyness of life and haven't taken time for these little extra sorts-of-things. It's time to get back to it.
How adorable is this banner? It was tucked inside the card—perfectly packaged, and so much fun to open. Even Eisley loved it. She picked it up so carefully and said (rather breathlessly), "Ohhhhh! Dat's pretty." Yes, ma'am. I quite agree.
