on dusty, beautiful books: Austen and Molière...

I came across a couple more books at my favorite used bookstore this week—and, as with last time around, I couldn't help but take a few photos to share. It's been nice to actually be using my camera more these days (as I dust off the corners of this old blog, which hasn't seen this much action in years!). As far as the books are concerned, they cost me a whopping $1.25 total. Not too shabby, right?

The dust jacket of the hardcover book is obviously quite worn, but the cover underneath is in beautiful condition, so I can always get rid of the jacket if it gets too tattered. And as far as Sense and Sensibility, would you believe I've never read this book? The cover art is the first thing that caught my attention, but now that I own a copy I feel like I should get around to actually reading it.

I sometimes wonder if I missed my calling as someone who makes a living reselling charming old books. Perhaps a new section of my shop awaits…

  1. One of my favourite things in the world is finding dusty, worn, beautiful editions of books. Love these!
