on what I wore...

What I wore.
Motherhood Maternity ruffle shirt (nope, not pregnant; just a wierdo that continues to wear maternity fashion a year after giving birth)
H&M locket
Forever 21 skinny jeans
Candie's flats (hand-me-downs from my older sister and I wear them constantly)

Is it just me, or is it really difficult to hold a large camera and take a full-length photo of yourself? If I wasn't so lazy, I'd set up the tripod. But I already feel a tad bit awkward taking so many photos of my outfits. If I made the effort to set up the tripod and take fancy photos, I'd just be paranoid that my landlord would walk by the window, see me randomly posing and be all like, "What is wrong with you, woman?"

Well, anyway.

Here are a couple details:

I wear this locket at least a few times a week. I bought it from H&M a couple years ago and it is one of my favorite pieces of jewelry. The only downside is that it's not an actual locket. People always try to open it and I have to tell them that it came glued shut and the only things inside are probably baby drool remnants (it was also Eisley's favorite teething toy for a while).

I wanted to show you a close-up (unedited, yay!) photo of my lipstick/gloss/what-have-you, because it makes me happy. I was one of the people who jumped on the Revlon Lip Butter bandwagon and initially wasn't too sure about my purchase. The color I chose (Strawberry Shortcake) seemed too pink on me and I wasn't loving it. However, I've now had it for about 6 months and only recently started wearing (and adoring) it regularly. Maybe it helps that my hair is now a shade darker?

I was going to take an artsy photo of my gold shoes, but ended up capturing my daughter's now organized playing area. Naptime is the best time because I get to put puzzles together, re-stack colorful cups of all shapes and sizes, and, of course, lovingly arrange Eisley's stuffed animals on her chair (I took Toy Story way too seriously as a child).

  1. You look fantastic! I hated wearing maternity clothes (they never seemed to fit properly and I always felt like such a frump) so I would never think to wear a maternity shirt AFTER baby - but you look great :) I love Revlon lip butter ~ I'm addicted to chapstick, but that's a close second :)

And this is exactly why I adore your writing. It's so honest and ridiculously like a mirror of my brain.

    You look super cute!

  9. I have that necklace and love it too! I need to get a full length mirror that is not in my bathroom. I'm always embarrassed to post photos taken in there.
