on the week ahead...

This week I will…

  1. Read more. I have started diving into some new books lately and I had forgotten what a nice escape they can be. I've been wanting to get lost in a story. I haven't made time for that sort of thing much in the past year, and I think it's time to indulge.
  2. Re-start the Couch to 5k program I had to quit because of my wonky, old-lady knees. I'm going to take it easy this time around and re-do the first week as many times as I need to until I feel comfortable moving forward. I've been missing the "me time" of evening exercise and my skinny jeans are becoming quite unfriendly to my midsection. Like, my pants are actually unbuttoned while I'm writing this. And unzipped a little bit. (Don't judge me.)
  3. Be a nice girl. Try to share only positivity. To add light. Encourage. Smile.
  4. Figure out what the heck I'm going to do with my poor, old Etsy shop. I haven't spend much time on it for the past few months and I just…ran out of steam, somehow. I had no idea my days would be so full and I can only do so much during naptime. I need to take it in a new direction—or maybe I just need something to inspire me to actively create again.
  5. Actually finish up plans for Eisley's (tiny, simple, happy) first birthday party. I can hardly believe it's less than one month away.
  6. Bake cookies. And perhaps eat some of the dough for breakfast.

  3. Hey Lady,
The other day, I wore the little pink rose bobby pins you made/sent to me a few years ago, and I got quite a few compliments on them! Just thought I'd let you know. :)

  6. I am with you on the couch to 5K - I gave up because my knees gave out! I need to remember to just go at my own pace.

  8. Great list. Totally with ya on the need to unzip pants. Last week, during a company lunch, I may have overdone it on the Olive Garden bread sticks and well, 10 slides into the CEO's PPT, I could think of nothing more of than getting out of my stupid stuffy, business-y pants into my glorious, wide at the waist yoga pants.

P.S. Your blog is such a treat. Really, it is.

  10. Hi Kerri! I've been quietly reading you for a few years & while I hate to be one of *those* people, do you mind sharing what font you used for the "your" lettering of your header? I fell in love with it instantly & thought it was worth leaving my lurker status for. :)

  11. You're adorable. Thank you for sharing your goals and inspiring us all to do the same.
I LOVE your new blog look! It's gorgeous.
Keep doing what you love and don't worry if you don't get to something right away...it shouldn't worry you. Your beautiful etsy shop will be up and running when it is the right time.
...and we all completely understand the unbuttoned and unzipped pants...you'll get there!
