on a to-do list...
This week I will:
…enjoy and any all snuggle time with this little peanut. Even when she decides that a thirty-minute nap is sufficient for the entire day and I get absolutely nothing else done.
…perfect babywearing with my new Maya wrap! I want to use it at least once a day—even though the weather is supposed to be in the 90s on Wednesday and I will surely die a slow and violent death with a baby sleeping on my chest. (Are we sure it isn't July? Really?)
…add at least five new items to my etsy shop. At this point in the game, there's no knowing how much crafty time I'll have in each day, but I want to try and get at least one thing done each day. I need it to feel like "me", if that makes any sense at all.
…continue playing catch-up with my email inbox. Hold me.
…do one brave thing.
…do six silly things.
…rock the messy-bun without shame.
…talk with each of my sisters, who I miss like crazy. And also secretly plan a future where we're all living on the same street and everything is perfect and happy.
…decorate for the new season. Although I'm not really a Halloween-decorating sort of girl, I'm definitely all over autumn colors. I adore wreaths, leaves and pumpkins. And tea lights that smell like baked goods, of course.

My to-do list this week also includes autumn decorating. I'm currently enjoying my pumpkin spice candle and planning to make a sparkly fall wreath. I just wish the weather would cool about twenty degrees.
ReplyDeleteI think this is a wonderful list! And if nothing but snuggling happens that's alright too ;)
ReplyDeleteYou have 90 degree weather and here in Colorado Springs we had high 70's one day and then snow the next! Melted within a day but still, nuts!
I love rockin' the messy bun without shame! Own it girlie!
ReplyDeleteShe is definitely an equal mixture of you and Jay! She is adorable! Enjoy as much snuggle time as you possibly can.. Soon she will be 5, in kindergarten and very independent! It happens so fast! :(
ReplyDeleteI also live in southern California and was disappointed to see it will be 90 Wed & Thurs. Last week was so nice! Hopefully the cooler weather will come back. Good luck with your list!
ReplyDeleteIt is pretty darn warm here today. I want that scarf weather back!
ReplyDeleteI adore that your to-do list include one brave thing and six silly things. :) I wish I was there to bring out the silly in you!! :P
Yes, yes! And I also prefer Autumn/Harvest decor to Halloween decor. :)
ReplyDeleteIs she your little twinie???? LOVE!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what you add to your Etsy shop! Once I get paid, I'm buying your Home Sweet Home cross stitch! So cute!
ReplyDeleteHey there little nugget!
ReplyDeleteAlso, October is the hottest month in So Cal. I remember that from my San Diego days. WTH is that about, am I right?
Ah, pictures of Eisley. Always makes my day! :)
ReplyDeleteHere in Florida, it actually feels somewhat like fall. Cool in the morning (like 70s cool which is laughable in the Northern states I suppose, heh) but then back in the high 80s, 90s in the afternoon. Fall? What is that?!
oh my, i could stare at that face all the good day long. you are SO BLESSED!!!! xoxo
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great to do list. I especially love that part about you and your sisters all living on the same street. That really would be perfect.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great list! :) If only we could have a street like the gals on Desperate Housewives....just the locations...not all the scandalousness! ;) It would be awesome to have all the people you love on one street!
ReplyDeleteShe is adorable!!! And your to-do list sounds completely manageable.... mine are usually completely unrealistic. Annnd.. you're reading the Hunger Games!! It is epic.
ReplyDeletei highly encourage the six silly things. might i suggest rocking a cowboy hat for no reason at all? it always gives me a good laugh.
ReplyDeleteI don't blame you for wanting to strap that sweet girl to your heart every day :)
ReplyDeleteShe's a doll! I prefer fall decor over Halloween too. But may have to put some Halloween stuff up this year, my 7 yr old came home from the bus yesterday and the first words out of his mouth were "Mom, I really think we need some Halloween decorations outside, like all the neighbors"
ReplyDeleteThe extent of my Halloween decorations is pumpkins and leaves, so I'm right there with you! I love Halloween, but I prefer the more homey, traditional decor.
ReplyDeleteEisley is such a pretty little thing! What a sweet little smile. You must melt on an hourly basis :)

Sorry, those last two identical comments were from Lauryn @laureality. Darn difficult web browsers!
ReplyDeleteAh, I have three sisters, and I feel exactly the same!!! And yes, rock that messy bun!!!
ReplyDeleteI've just embraced the messy bun. And thank goodness for that!
