on the monthly swoonage: July...

monthly swoonage.

1. I'm absolutely head over heels for the adorable items in ZUZII's etsy shop. Especially the adorable blossom headband, as seen above. Precious beyond all reason! You have to check out all the goodness available in this shop. One of my new favorites.

2. Are you aware that there are six seasons of Desperate Housewives available on Netflix streaming? New obsession, ahoy. I'm always fashionably late in my TV show fixations and always seem to wait until they're off the air or about six seasons in. (See also: Lost, Sex in the City, Grey's Anatomy, Friends, Jericho, etc.) In any case, it's kind of nice not to have to wait a week for a new episode.

3. Coral/tangerine/bubblegum is my favorite color combination at the moment. I'd really like to decorate the baby corner in these colors! First on my wish list? This adorable print from Hillary Bird's etsy shop.

4. I finally finished reading Live with Intention by Mary Anne Radmacher, and I absolutely, completely recommend it. My copy is filled with sticky-notes on nearly every page because I wanted to know what to go back and re-read or write down in my journal. Every time I picked up this book, my heart felt so light. Oh! And I finally got a copy of Tina Fey's Bossypants from the library and I'm already in love. I adore me some Tina Fey.

5. My name is Kerri and I'm addicted to mocha frappes. And I refuse to quit. Good news is that you can get a buy-one-get-one-free coupon on the McDonalds website so you don't have to feel guilty when you end up drinking several a week. You're welcome.

What are some things making you swoon this month?

  1. Totally wish I were reading Tina Fey's Bossypants too. Unfortunately I have like 9 billion books already, 8 billion and 999, 999, 900 of them not yet read. Sigh...

My broken a/c's (both condo and car) are making me swoon, but I don't think that's quite what you meant... :P

  2. Making me swoon:

Light fabrics in Summer colors like teal, coral and light green or of course, white!

    Beautiful raw stone jewelry.

My beloved manga and the fact that I'm reading one new book a month (at least.) This month? Howl's Moving Castle.

The fact that it's my mother-in-law's birthday month and my own! Plus of course, the 4th of July and Pioneer Day.

    And so much more! ^_^

  3. Watching a tv series a few years later is the best way to do it. Especially when that series is LOST! Hmm.. I still haven't checked out Jericho though.

  4. Hey Kerri... lurker here :) I've had the below link saved in my favorites for inspiration when decorating a nursery one day! I think everything about this room is adorable.. but you might especially love the bundle of tangerine/coral/bubblegum fun hanging from the ceiling. Happy nesting!

  5. I love the Game of Throne series on HBO. When my husband suggested it, I thought no way because I don't particularly care for fantasy. Well, it is not fantasy-fantasy. Such an intriguing story! I just ordered the books, which I am happy to report are just as good.

  6. Everything is so lovely! I love, love, love mocha frappes but have curbed my consumption of them save for special occasions. They are a tad on the caloric side. But it's OK for you because baby needs calories and calcium.

  7. Currently making me swoon in no particular order: iced lattes; five-hour hikes in Forest Park; red-haired boys (bonus points for beards); banter; sun sun and more SUN; Friday afternoons spent poolside; all-night Gchats; lovely and supportive comments from a lovely K-e-r-r-i.
