on a little shop update...

new etsy banner!

After much thought and contemplation (and many, many hours spent covered in hot glue and felt remnants) I've decided I'm ready to relaunch my long lost etsy shop. Truth be told, it's been tough not having this creative outlet in my life. I kept thinking, "I don't have time. Life is too crazy. My stuff isn't that good enough, anyway. I shouldn't add anything else to my busy schedule." But, really? Once I dove in and began creating again all those fears washed away. (Well, almost all of them, anyway.)

It's been far too convenient to let this part of my life drift away. But I need it. I need that extra drive to push my creativity and imagination. Also, no matter what, I need to constantly remind myself that big dreams must start small.

In any case, I'm excited to introduce you to some new items (and old favorites) that are now available! I'll be busy adding more new things here and there during the next few weeks, but it's definitely a start. Without further ado:

Um, RIDICULOUS! Everything you produce is always so detail-oriented and charming and creative in unexpected ways. And you take really good pictures of it. I don't know who you are comparing yourself to but I vote you go full-time with your crafty endeavors!

(I recently read an article about pursuing part-time creative work as if you HAD to support yourself with it starting tomorrow. Talk about motivating... wish I remembered the link!)

  5. I need to have that necklace and wall hanging in my life. I don't see it in your shop. Is it ALREADY sold out or have you not added it yet?

And can I just say how EXCITED AND THRILLED I am that you opened your shop up again?! I've been waiting with bated breath. :)

  9. Is your baby going to be named Eisley? ;)

I'd be curious to know if you make enough on Etsy for it to be a substantial income. I just...either need to charge more or get off, I think. If I charged the 'right' amount (ie: 4 times the cost, or whatever), I'd be charging FAR too much for people to actually buy. But, now that I have a baby, I just don't feel like it's a cost-effective to spend my time for my current profit margin.

But I do love creating! I just haven't created anything since...oh, he was born. Ha.
