on who I am (at the moment)...

favorite shoes.

I am...

...realizing I've put off taking many of the photo requests from this post! However, the above photo is of my absolute favorite pair of shoes, as requested by Claire. I found these shoes brand new at a random Thrift shop in Minnesota last year and am head over heels for them. They originally were sold at Target, I believe. And who can go wrong with ruffly, yellow shoes? (Don't worry, I'll get to the rest of the requests soon!)

...thrilled to have a week of rain to look forward to.

...ridiculously obsessed with the music of First Aid Kit. "Hard Believer" is pretty much my theme song at the moment.

...toying with the idea of busting my guitar out of the garage and actually making an effort to learn how to play it. A small part of me has always felt like there is a bit of a folksy singer/songwriter inside of me, just waiting to get out.

...wondering if I even have enough time to add one more thing to my already-full plate.

...in awe of the fact that Jay and I have nearly reached our fourth wedding anniversary. Marriage has been just as lovely as I always knew it would be. But, in a way, it is different than I'd imagined. In a good way. Nearly four years into this adventure, I'm realizing how important it is to be best friends with the person you married - and that the nights you fall asleep holding hands are just as precious as anything else you did when everything was new and electric.

...thankful for each and every person in my life who takes the time to shower me with encouragement.

...sometimes overwhelmed by all I want to accomplish, and sometimes feel like I'm in such a rush to do everything at once. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that this is the first time in my life where I kind of feel like nothing is out of my reach. I guess I just need to remind myself to take it one step at a time.

...absolutely stuffed after lunch with one of my closest friends, and pretty sure I could eat a chicken gyro on a daily basis and never tire of it's yumminess. (With hummus and warm pita bread, of course. And a few glasses of chardonnay. And laughter and gossip.)

...feeling cozy in my new plaid button-up shirt.

...rediscovering the joy of writing letters by hand.

...intent on getting another tattoo sometime this year. I have so many ideas, but I'm not sure what exactly I want or where I want it. (Indecisive much?) Whatever I end up getting, I want to make sure it's just for me. Something that I connect with. So often I worry too much about what other people will think. (Of course, if I tell you I want to get a tattoo of a baked potato on my right ankle, you have every right to punch me in the mouth.)

...presently reading Grace (Eventually): Thoughts on Faith by Anne Lamott, The Anti 9-to-5 Guide by Michelle Goodman and The Gorgeously Green Diet by Sophie Uliano.

...trying to remind myself that sometimes it's okay to just simply sit around and do absolutely nothing.
