on a few of my favorite things...
These are a few of my favorite things (kind of like the song, but not really):
1. Breakfast time. And taking photos that make my breakfast look slightly more exciting than it actually is, obviously. Waffles with peanut butter have never been more divine! Mmmm. I think I always love breakfast because of the mood of the morning. The light is all glowy and I'm comfortable in my pajamas and I have the whole day ahead of me.
2. Oregon Chai. Okay, guys. You don't even understand. If you don't have any of this, you need to remedy that immediately. It's probably my new favorite thing in the history of favorite things. (Thank you to the gem who recommended this to me - you are my hero!) So, anyway, you need to listen to me when I say: YOU NEED THIS IN YOUR LIFE. Go buy some. Like, yesterday. Amen.
3. Watching TV shows online. When I'm home, I'm most often sitting around with the laptop melting it's way through the flesh of my thighs. Do you realize that there are ten seasons of Law & Order: SVU on Netflix's watch instantly list? Do you know what I've been doing for the last week with every spare minute of my time? Do you see why I'm borderline paranoid everywhere I go, look at every stranger like they're a pedophile or a serial killer, and am pretty sure there is going to be a body in the alleyway garbage can every time I take out the trash? It's a little much. But I can't stop.
4. Snail mail. It warms my soul.
5. My new boots from Target! I've been on the search for a cute pair of brown boots for a long time. Like, for the last two years. I've found plenty of options, but considering I'm cheap and hate spending more than $40 on any article of clothing (hold me) I've never purchased any until now. When I saw these, my heart melted a little bit out of pure, unadulterated joy. Flat, brown boots that fit perfectly over my skinny jeans - and for under $30? Sold. Target, you never fail to delight me.
What are a few of your favorite things?

65 wrote me a note:
New jeans. The smell of Nordstrom. Caramel Apple Spice from Starbucks. Book series'. Chair and 1/2's.
Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens.
Oh. Sorry. The song...
Anyway. Some of my favorite things? Lazy days. Puppy cuddling. GLEE. Fresh notebooks and new pens. Scarves and pea coats.
Ooh, I looked at those boots! But I've never had boots and think that I'm probably just one of those people that can't pull them off. I'm sure they look awesome on you!
My favorite things?
Our comfortable couch. The Office. Hot chocolate. :) That's all I need for a perfect evening with my husband.
reading travel books in preparation for my upcoming trip to NYC. Glee. counting down the days until "New Moon" comes out in theaters. sleeping with the windows open so I can pile on an extra layer of blankets.
Oregon Chai- YES! When I worked at Starbucks a couple years ago, we would make it for ourselves during work instead of the SBux kind. So yummy!
The smell of Pirates at Disneyland. The hauntingly magical feeling I get during Fall and Halloween. Finding new songs that are basically three minute descriptions of my life. New school supplies/crafting supplies. Vampire Diaries. Scarves. Dresses. Pretty sandals and flats. Buying new books. Curling my hair. My family and friends. Jesus.
:)
I totally bought those boots too! I love them they are also super comfy I wore them all day when I was on my feet and had no problem :) enjoy!!
How have I never heard of waffles with peanut butter?? =) My favourite things are choosing to indulge myself a little by getting my nails done, listening to podcasts like This American Life (you would love it!), and snail mail. It's just too fun.
I had never had peanut butter and waffles until a year or ago, my life was forever changed.
My favorite things include: chocolate raspberry chai, reading, the bracelet I bought a few weeks ago that says "embrace the journey" and my dog.
Oh, where can you get the Oregon Chai? I want to try it.
Also, snail mail? For real? You should write me - and I'll write back, I am the world's greatest pen pal! ;) (I used to have like 30+ back in the days when I still had free time on my hands).
I love morning sunlight with french toast and a cup of tea
The smell of a new book. Caramel apple spice/cider from Starbucks. I have those boots too and they are fantastic!!!
Hmmmm, I love breakfast and waffles with peanut butter sound amazing.
Those boots you got are ADORABLE!

Oooh, I like this game!
Quiet time at Starbucks with my journal and an iced chai latte...snuggling into bed under a down comforter, with my kitty curling up in the crook of my knees...road trips to see dear friends...rocking out to Britney Spears CD's in my apartment...time spent scrapbooking.
And when I can't make it to Starbucks for a chai, I absolutely love Oregon Chai powdered mixes. Fantastic choice!! =)

1. I love those boots and I've been on the hunt for a pair of new brown boots for a while. To Target this weekend!

That breakfast DOES look amazing!
Haha, you're welcome. But now I am curious about this spie chai a commenter a few above me mentioned...
Posts by you. The voice of Morgan Freeman. Someone telling me that I look sexy in glasses and sweatpants. Barbeque sauce. Books so good I cry when I'm done. Leaving the hair salon, loving my hair. Snail mail (just like you!). Mittens with strings.
Waffles with peanut butter & syrup are a favorite around here! :D I adore your little house, I really do. Adopt me?
And oh yum, Oregon Chai tastes so much better than the Starbucks kind! (shh don't tell! Ha) The mom & pop coffee shop I used to work for used that kid for their chai tea lattes and I used to drink them all the time. SO good! I'm finding myself back in a tea phase again lately.
A few of my favorite things?
Vampire Diaries (well anything vampire related these days, I'm totally jonesin' for New Moon so for now anything will do lol)
Soy black tea lattes.

Throw in that you love Oregon Chai (I'm also a fan of Big Train) and girl, I think if you were a perfume I'd wear you every day...
too wierd? yeah, that's what I thought too...
Reading your blog always makes me smile. And seriously, waffle with peanut butter and cute boots only for 30 bucks? I would be squealing with joy too.
Some of my favorite things these days would be : laying on the couch watching my favorite shows on dvd and iced caramel machiatto after school. It's still so hot here!
Those boots are beautiful. Also, your Duplo advertisement refuses to leave my screen despite multiple X's & has prevented me from fully enjoying this post. Blast.
I also LOVE snail mail. I wish I received more of it though.
Yay boots!
Saturday mornings. Saturdays are really my only "free" days, so I take advantage of having my choice to wake up early or sleep in late.
The changing leaves. I love watching the leaves change and fall, starting fresh.
Snail mail. (This is probably why I'm constantly ordering things on Etsy.)
I got those boots in grey and I LOVE THEM. Like, adore.
I love waffles and pb! And a good pair of boots
Totally getting those boots! I am with ya on the cheap clothing. A few of my favorite things:
1. Beautiful fall mornings sipping something warm (like a chai latte!)
2. Making a nice dinner for people I love
3. Singing to myself as I complete tasks feeling completely content
4. Reading a book that I can't put down
5. Making my bed with clean sheets then laying on top of the made bed in the middle of the day and falling asleep. Awwww
Hmmm...right now favorites include spending way too much time on the computer, watching old Bones reruns with Keith after the kids are asleep, sewing lots of baby goodies for all my blessed pregnant friends (and trying not to be bitter about it), and lots and lots of hot cocoa! All this Texas rain calls for it!
You, Missy, just saved my day! I'm in Colorado, in a house which is currently under about 24 inches of snow, and I'm settling in for some SVU on Netflix thanks to you! I didn't know it was on there for instant watch! Thanks!

I love the smell of my fiance's deodrant--no, I don't stick my nose up there but I love it when we snuggle. I also love my little fluffy furbaby, Chester, because he always brings a smile to my face and makes me giggle almost daily.
