on a morning surprise...

Montana is awesome.
This is what we woke up to this morning, in Bozeman, Montana. If we don't make it to Utah today, I guess we'll all know why. Cross your fingers for us, and also for my tiny little nubbin of a car that may not handle the weather as well as I'd like it to. (Snow tires? What?)

PS: Random foot of snow on my car aside, I have a serious crush on Bozeman. I take back anything I ever said about Montana being strictly farm country. I basically want to buy a home and live here forever after being here for less than one day. Amen.

  1. Looks strikingly similar to what I woke up to here in Utah this morning. :(

  2. I totally get the "wanting to move to Montana and live there forever!" I felt the very same way the first time I stepped foot in the state (flew into Great Falls and then drove to Havre). There's something about Montana!!! I've been to Havre, Great Falls, Shelby, Red Lodge (LOVE!!!) and through Billings. All of my time in Montana has been working but I wanted to stay on my breaks too. I'm from Texas, Houston, as in NATIVE and NO SNOW. Since I loved it so much, we compromised to be close to Utah, Montana, Wyoming and Canada (where my fiance is from) and bought land in South Dakota between Rapid City and Sturgess (around where you were a day or so ago), 3 acres in the Black Hills. Beautiful!!! You are in gorgeous country girl and most people don't get it unless they go there. Enjoy the rest of your trip!!!

  3. Snow! How lucky you are to experience it. I don't even remember the last time I saw snow, but it was a long time ago.

  4. I LOVE Montana. I thought I would hate it but after spending some time there I was totally hooked. It's just so open and gorgeous.

(But yeah, I call mutiny against snow at the end of March.)
