on who I am (at the moment)...
I am...
...apparently a big fan of the random-photo-shoot-in-the-movie-theatre-bathroom thing (um, that's a thing, right?).
...thinking that this is seriously the greatest year ever, even though we're only a few days in.
...great at clipping coupons but horrible at actually using them.
...enjoying a small break from crafting; I think I was starting to get overwelmed, which probably isn't a good thing if I want to do this for a living.
...a big fan of reading memoirs.
...proud of going for a short run yesterday evening (and only having to take a couple walking breaks).
...attempting to have more confidence, in many different ways.
...discovering that encouragement and understanding sometimes arrive at times you least expect it, but somehow just when you need it most.
...learning alot about generosity, gratitude and contentment.
...scared of losing the ones I love.
...presently obsessed with the following songs: "The Con" by Tegan and Sara, "You Are the Best Thing" by Ray Lamontagne and "Answer" by Sarah McLahclan.
...in the mood for some sort of fashion reinvention and wish I could have an entirely new wardrobe.
...reading less celebrity gossip, reading more books; buying less beauty magazines, buying more beauty products.
...thinking it would be great to be seventeen again - if only for a while.
...happiest ending the day cuddled on the couch with Jay, watching something ridiculous on TV.

...super duper cute, and inspiring.
ReplyDeleteThanks for reminding me that we are all different, and shouldn't be embarassed about who we are or what we love (or don't love). I am trying to come to grips with this right now, and your blog always helps.
Oh, I clip coupons all the time and NEVER use them, I am with you on that one!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I nominated you for an award on my blog :)
"...reading less celebrity gossip, reading more books; buying less beauty magazines, buying more beauty products."
ReplyDeleteOnce I started doing this, I couldn't believe the difference it made in myself and my confidence. I never fully realized how damaging all of that can be to your self esteem- constantly making the comparison of yourself & those you read in the glossy magazine or on the tacky website. Such a difference.
Who you are sounds pretty good right now, you seem very content :)
I love that song, "Answer." It gives me chills every time I hear it.
ReplyDeletejust dropping a note to say hi.... and that i enjoy reading your blog!
ReplyDeletei LOVE the ray lamontagne song :) I saw him in concert a while ago with john mayer trio. amazing.
ReplyDeleteI am with you on the coupon thing. My husband loves to make fun of me over it. You never know when you will need one though!
ReplyDeleteI often wonder what it would be like to be 17 again. I'm not sure I would enjoy it... but maybe it if was only for a few days or so. Wouldn't it be cool if we could find out!
ReplyDeleteThis was such a sweet post!!!
ReplyDeleteI love that picture, haha.
What kind of crafting do you do? Sry, I'm kinda new around here.
You are so cute! I love this picture!
ReplyDeleteI'm a coupon clipping nerd too. So much so that I was very excited to find five sections of coupons today... did I really just admit that? Oh well, cute icture!
ReplyDeletePlayful - I got the paper yesterday, saw there were 5 sections and bought another one today. Now who is the coupon nerd?
ReplyDeleteI think this is going to be the greatest year ever too. Hopefully we're right.
ReplyDeleteYou are forever inspiring me! That was such a wonderful post. Again something I'm going to put some thought into.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your continuous insights, thoughts and inspiration! xox
lol, you are too hilarious kerri but only you would be able to take a picture in the bathroom and pull it off ;) lovely post.
ReplyDeletemake a deal with a few of your friends... promise to dress like a mess for two weeks if they'll nominate you for What Not to Wear, have some "secret" footage taped, and voila! New $5000 wardrobe and stylists to go along with it! :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you washed your hands! ;-)
ReplyDeleteVery cute post! I'm the coupon clipper in our house and Jesse is the coupon remember-er/bringer.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm glad that I'm not the only one who has been feeling a little craft burn out - though you've been doing it for much longer & with much greater quantity! Hope you enjoy the break!
Hi! Stumbled across your bloggy today. Very cute and inspiring! I'll be back! ;o)
ReplyDeleteYou forgot to add, "ridiculously cute!"
ReplyDelete:-) I love that outfit/hair style. I wish I could pull off the low pony.
it's official. you are the cutest thing EVER. such a sweet, genuine post. that's one of my new years resolutions..to be more genuine.
ReplyDelete(just in case you were wondering)
get out of my head!
ReplyDeleteno seriously, let's see ... i take pictures in public bathrooms. i clip coupons and never use them. i want to start working out. completely afraid of losing loved ones. love the con, and answer. i wish i could have YOUR wardrobe. absolutely in heaven when on the couch with megan.
although, lets get this straight, i feel as though i will never be as awesome as you are :D <3
Great bag. That Ray LaMontagne song is one of my faves.
ReplyDeleteseriously, you are adorable. and i am so guilty of the coupon thing too, always cut them, but man they expire too quickly sometimes!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy your blog and I sent an award your way!
ReplyDeleteI'd like a new wardrobe too. I wonder who could sponsor us for that??
ReplyDeleteI can't clip coupons to save my life. I don't know what it is, possibly my lack of patience.
ReplyDeleteI love the picture. You're too cute for words!!!
Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy reading your blog. Your honesty and humor are truly inspiring!
ReplyDeleteYo know what you should do as a small step to a wardrobe reinvention? Buy one single article of clothing that is completely UNLIKE anything you own. (Trust me, this is harder than it sounds.) Leather pants. Stiletto heels. Fedora. Vintage 1950s house dress. Something like that. And then make yourself wear it. In public. And see how snazzy and inspired it makes you feel.
ReplyDeleteObviously I meant "you" and not "yo," yo.
ReplyDeleteNice one, me.
I too have been reading a lot of memoirs. I gave up on the celeb gossip for books :)
ReplyDeletePicture = way too cute!
ReplyDeleteAnd Ray Lamontange! So fabulous, eh?!
