on the most adorable of clocks...

Go ahead and tell me this isn't the most adorable clock in all of existence. Go ahead. Because guess what? I won't believe you! (Oh, and it's not really crooked on the wall, I think I was just having issues and photographed it all wonky. My bad.) Anyway, I'm crushing on this clock hardcore, mostly because of it's obvious cute-factor. But also? I found the darn thing at Target. On clearance. For seventeen dollars.

(It was one of those days where I'm all, "I'm just going in for a yoga mat and peanut butter." And I come out with about seventeen items from the $1 bins and a whole cartload of things I hardly even remember buying until I get home and I'm all, "WHERE DID THIS STUFF COME FROM? And I forgot the peanut butter. Crap." Okay, okay. It wasn't that bad. I probably wouldn't have a husband right now if it was that bad.)

Anyway.

Last night when I got home from work I saw the clock when I walked in and started dancing around. "Every time I think of that clock, it totally makes me giddy!" I don't think my husband understands me sometimes. Okay, I don't think he understands me much of the time. But that's okay; I've come to terms with the fact that I get giddy over things like lunchmeat and clocks. It's how I roll.

Oh, and another thing I realized today: I should stop rewarding my morning workouts with cheese bagels and Starbucks. Because I'm thinking that rather defeats the whole purpose, right? Darn it all.

  7. The clock is so very cool!

I'm al for the rewarding of the workout, but you can get something vaguely healthier that tastes almost as good! I would probably avoid Starbucks though. Do you have Costa in America? Much nicer company, closer to being fair trade, and most of the stuff tastes the same. There ice blended fruit tea is amazing, its the grown up equivalent of a slush puppy!

  9. :) I'm smiling because you described me at Target.

I try to sneak it in when I buy a lot of stuff at Target. "Oh, I've always had these shoes, honey! Uh, no, that's not a price tag, silly!"

Just yesterday, I came home with a new bag and I was stupid enough to say, "Like my new bag?"

Apparently, he thinks I should stop spending all our money at Target.

    Whateverrrrr.

  12. ADORABLE CLOCK! Ohh my. So cute.

I was at Target a few days ago on my lunch (it's dangerous having a Target so close to my office... I do this all the time), and I found this black, scrolly-looking mirror I've been obsessing over on sale for $13! It looks similar to your clock. I love it!

And you crack me up with your 'rewards' for working out. I think we all do that. :)

  15. That is one adorable clock! I've been casually looking for a clock for our living room for the past few months. Perhaps I will make a run to Target :) Hope you don't mind if I "borrow" your excellent find...I don't think I can resist buying it if it's in my local Target!

  25. Okay that clock IS super adorable. I've never seen it before either! which is good because it's not that cliched Target item that everyone has. And you got in on sale which is even better.

  26. That clock is adorable, but having clocks in my home disturbs me: my grandmother has an obsession with them (I'm talking 30-40 clicking, ticking coo-coo clocks) and her house always reminds me of "The Raven." Clocks for whatever reason remind me of that, and subsequently, I cannot have clocks in my house!

  27. ohemgee! I haven't been online in forevers and I logged on today and clicked into my google reader and saw this adorable clock and guess what!! I bought the same one this week!! We're clock twinsies!! Don't hate me but i got mine for $12.75 :D But guess what? At another location it was the same price as yours...do all targets do this? Different priced clearances? so strange.
I haven't put mine up on the wall yet and seeing yours makes me giddy! Now i wanna go home, find a spot and get that baby out of its box :D
