on my time away from this place...
So, it's about that time. Vacation time.
For the next week, the husband and I will be enjoying the fresh air of our homeland! (Washington State, in case you wanted to know.) I'll be surrounded by sisters, in-laws and pine trees. I'll get to enjoy a seriously good latte (none of this Starbucks business), granitas (if you don't know what these are, I pity you), smog-free skies (in Southern California, this is the stuff of legends), and all that goodness. I absolutely can't wait for some much-needed family time.
(Oh, and I'm also kind of excited to hang out with people who don't give you the look of judgement when you refer to "soda" as "pop". It just feels more like home.)
I'll miss you all, and look forward to catching up on all your lives upon my return!
And you'd better be prepared for some photos. Because we all know I'm about to lose all control. Right? Right.
Hope you have so much fun! Being in 100+ degree Fresno, Cali., Washington sounds like heaven!
ReplyDeleteHave a great time!
ReplyDeleteI would move to Washington at the drop of a hat. I love it there.
ReplyDeleteAnd granitas? You haven't lived until you've had one in Rome.
Pop! Michigan has messed me up, so now all I say is pop. Every time I try to correct myself to say soda, my friends here tease me. Injustice!
ReplyDeletePop Pop Pop!
Maybe I'll start saying Soda Pop.
YAY! I'm excited beyond words for you. Have SO much fun (and more than ONE wonderful latte, c'mon!) and spend every second you can with your sisters.
ReplyDeleteAnd we won't judge you if you never come back. (To Cali, that is. The internet? You'd sure as hell BETTER come back, missy!)
Mwah! Good luck, safe travels, and LOTS of relaxation!!
Have a great time! When I lived in FL I couldn't get used to saying soda, it will always be pop to me ;)
ReplyDeleteHave a great vacation! Enjoy the coffee!
ReplyDeleteoh that sounds so lovely. Hooray for beautiful weather and family time! Have a great time, and I can't wait to see those pictures. :)
ReplyDeleteWell have a great time with your family! It'll be so nice to get out of this gross air.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I'm totally jealous of the fact that you have sisters. How fun is that? My brother is cool, I guess. haha
Have an amazing time!

Hi! A friend of mine(Ari) introduced me to your blog a while back, and I love it! Your take on things is definitely a refreshing one.
ReplyDeleteI'm originally from Indiana, and despite the stink eyes I get here in Alabama, I will say "POP" til the day I die.
