on goddess clothes...

This is my favorite outfit of the moment. (Like my glassy stare into the mirror? Nice touch.) You know how there's that one default outfit that you can put on and feel like a complete goddess? This is it for me. Jeans that seem to have been made just for me (well, after I had them hemmed about two inches, and after I stretched them back out after I shrunk them a couple weeks ago and almost had a stroke - details, details), my new Target sweater, my Juicy Couture shirt (before you think I'm completely presumptious, let me just tell you that it would have been $150 - which, I'm sorry, I wouldn't pay for any type of clothing - but my darling sister got it for bajillion % off, so hurrah!), and my long Lauren Conrad style (Team LC!) Bitten necklace.

My issue with favorite clothes is the fact that I always want to wear them, though. I've always over-worn my favorite pieces. I have to try and strategically plan who I'm going to see while wearing it, so as not to look like someone who just never has time to do laundry or something. For instance, yesterday I wore The Outfit while running errands, and you know I'm wearing it again today (I have no shame), so I'm going to have to go out of my way and drive to a different post office to mail out my swap packages. Like a postal office worker is going to care.

I'm so neurotic, it's lovely.

What does your favorite outfit consist of? On average, how many times a week do you wear it? Or are you a more normal functioning person and only save said outfit for special occasions/dates/bank holidays?

Today is my "goodbye lunch" for cricket. I am sad. Deserter. (You know I love you but right now I just don't like you.) We shall drown our sadness in endless bread and dippy sauce at Pomodoro! Which is the best way, if you ask me.

EDIT: It was pointed out to me that I am not, interestingly enough, wearing my wedding ring (shall we say "bling"?) in the photo. To quote my response to Mr. or Mrs. Anonymous Commenter (and to dismiss any rumors that my wedding is, indeed, on the rocks as we speak and I have fed said wedding ring to my cat):

"I think I need to get my ring re-sized again. Either my fingers are getting tubby, or the summer weather has made them puffy - but either way, it's created this rashy, peely thing on my finger (ew, I know) and I've had to go wedding-ringless for the last several days until it heals. I've felt naked without it, and keep having these flashes of "OHMYGAW I LOST MY RING AHHHH!" when I don't feel it there. It's kind of sad."

So, there you go. I had a panic attack when my naked finger was pointed out. Not sure why I have to defend myself, but as I have pointed out before, I am quite neurotic. And that's that.

Thanks for noticing, though! I've been wondering when someone is going to notice I don't have it on and ask me if my marriage is on the rocks. Which it is not. :)
